Sterling silver Pendent with Kingman turquoise stone by Devin Coriz
This unique one-of-a-kind wearable art pendant is handmade by our grandson Devin Coriz of Santo Domingo Pueblo. Devin started learning how to make inlaid jewelry at the age of 7 years old. As he got older he showed an interest in learning silver work. Devin is now 16, designing and creating silver jewelry. On this piece he did the turquoise lapidary stone work as well, cutting, slicing, shaping, grinding and polishing the turquoise stone before he even started on the silver piece. Devin did stampwork all around the blue/green Kingman turquoise stone. Joe and I are happy Devin has an interest in learning silversmithing and Inlaid work. We will continue teaching him and our other grandchildren these techniques. This piece will one day be a collector piece.
