Purple Spiney Oyster shell, Turquoise nugget necklace with Sterling silver Pendent and natural Spiney Oyster shell
Natural Purple Spiney Oyster shells are rare, vibrant Bivalve mollusk shells harvested primarily from deep waters of the Gulf of California and the sea of Cortez. They grow at much greater depths than orange or red Spiney Oyster shells. Purple Spiney Oyster shell has always made a great combination with turquoise stones such as this necklace. The turquoise stone nuggets are drilled and added in between the Spiney Oyster shells. On the ends the necklace is finished with sterling silver brushed finish polish cones signed with Joe Chavez makers mark and sterling stamp and handmade sterling silver clasps (hook and eye). A beautiful sterling silver brushed finish pendant with a large teardrop shape natural Purple Spiney Oyster shell adorns and complements the necklace. Traditional Pueblo cutout "Kiva steps and Raincloud" symbols on the bottom of the pendant. The bail also has a nice stampwork design on it adding more design to the pendant. The pendant is removable, so you can wear the necklace by itself or the pendant on an omega or something else. Such a versatile piece of wearable art. I showed a Purple Spiney Oyster shell necklace available in EARRING CATEGORY. (EARRINGS SOLD SEPARATELY).
