Mother of Pearl Shell necklace with jacla tabs rooted in ancestral Pueblo pattern.
Natalie Coriz from Santo Domingo Pueblo has a very unique style of design when it comes to creating Santo Domingo Pueblo Jewelry. Definitely one-of-a-kind wearable art. Natalie used large natural mother of pearl heishi shell in a graduated form at the very top with melon shell and a different type of olive shell graduated to larger round pieces in the center of the necklace. She added melon shell, mother-of-pearl, sterling silver beads and Spiney Oyster shell to make the Jacla. Little Jaclas added on each side of necklace to add and make a statement of uniqueness to her necklace in a somewhat "tab" look. This necklace has a nice flow and feel to it. Add this necklace to your collection and create a beautiful statement layering addition.
Designed and made by Natalie Coriz of Santo Domingo Pueblo. (Her original design). Natalie is our daughter.
