Brushed Sterling silver Pendent with Natural Wildhorse stone
Wildhorse stone is a rare semi precious gemstone made of White magnesite with brown and reddish hematite colors. It gets the name because of its creamy white base and brown streaks like spotted coat of a painted or Appaloosa horse. Mined near the Globe copper mine in AZ.
Joe Chavez did the lapidary stonework first before he designed this into a pendant. He then did the cutouts on the silver using only a jewelers coping saw to cutout these intricate symbols. No lazer cutting here. Traditional Pueblo "cloud, waterwave and corn symbols". Signed on the reverse side of pendant with Joe Chavez makers mark and sterling stamp. This pendant will look great on a turquoise, coral, or just about any color of necklace.
Measures: 2.5" long × 2" wide at widest part of pendant.
An original one-of-a-kind design by Joe Chavez of Santo Domingo Pueblo.
