Chaco Series Collection-All natural shell and turquoise
CHACO SERIES COLLECTION - This necklace is made to honor my Puebloan ancestors. I made this necklace using natural material. Natural spiney oyster shells, natural Orville Jack Turquoise mined out of Nevada. Natural olive shells, (real heishi), NOT imported and natural gypsum stone (white stone). This gypsum is the same type that was used in making the vintage Santo Domingo Pueblo Thunderbird Necklaces. The white beads in between the tabs. I inlaid the bail and the inlaid design on the large spiney oyster shell. On the bottom of the pendant where the two spiney oyster shells and the Orville Jack Turquoise hang, I tied them off with natural deer sinew. At the top of the necklace I braided with wax thread and added natural Abalone shell into the braid. I design and make these unique one-of-a-kind Necklaces to keep the memory of my Pueblo ancestors alive through my Kewa jewelry.
Measures: 26" long end to end.
Definitely a must have original.
